Project Description

The Gollans Bay Quarry Road project has now been completed, April 2018.

This project has been a great challenging job with 240,000 cubic metres being excavated and carted down the hill to the ports reclaim area. The 670 excavator was the main machine excavating and loading out and the 330-5 has had a rock breaker on most of the time with four A30 dump trucks carting.

The drilling and blasting was managed exceptionally well, with no fly rock falling onto the coal below.
