Multi-skilled Operators (Wellington)

Taylors is looking for experienced Multi-Skilled Operators to join our team for a large-scale project in the Wellington region. Take ownership of your role and your machinery and we will reward you accordingly!

These are permanent positions and we are looking for a number of multi-skilled operators including Excavator, Bulldozer, Dump Truck, Roller and Water Cart Operators.

Key skills and attributes:

  • Appropriate ‘current’ licenses to operate including Class 2 driver’s license with WTR
  • Proven work history in bulk earthwork and civil operations
  • Experience operating various machinery such as diggers, rollers, loaders, graders etc.
  • Ability to demonstrate a strong commitment to the health, safety, and wellbeing of yourself and others
  • Prepared to perform physical and manual tasks as required
  • The ability to work both alone and as part of a team in a positive and safe manner.

Workshop Labourer (Nelson)

The Workshop Labourer will work alongside our qualified mechanics and engineers in the Brightwater Workshop and may undertake relief fuel truck driving as required.

This role would suit someone with good common sense and initiative. Our ideal team member will be prepared to challenge themselves and take ownership of ensuring the workshop and yard are clean, tidy, and organised.

The successful candidate will be:

  • Fit and prepared for labour-intensive tasks
  • Prepared to assist and clean up around mechanics’ work areas
  • Motivated and enthusiastic
  • Interested in mechanical and engineering operations
  • Required to work in the workshop and field environment
  • Qualified with a HT Class 2 license and clean full driver’s license
  • Reliable and wanting to work
  • Prepared to carry out a large variety of general workshop and yard duties
