Multi Skilled Operator - Forestry

Taylors Contracting Co. Ltd is currently seeking a new full-time team member to join the Forestry Department. You will be forming & maintaining roads, skids and performing other earthworks as required. Applicants will have the following skills and attributes:

A class 2 driver’s license with WTR
Have a proven work history in bulk earthworks, civil and/or forestry operations
A high level of experience operating various machinery such as dozers, diggers and graders
Possess a safe work record and be drug free with a genuine commitment to Health and Safety
Extreme Reliability and dependability
Demonstrate excellent communication and time management skills
The right qualifications for this position are an advantage, however we are committed to training and up skilling our staff.

Workshop/Yard Hand - Canterbury

Are you looking for a new challenge in a supportive working environment? We are looking for an enthusiastic, keen to learn Workshop/Yard Hand.

In this role, you will assist in the day to day general maintenance of our Hasketts Road workshop and yard in Christchurch. It includes a variety of general workshop and yard duties and is key in supporting other staff with daily tasks as required.

* Excellent communication skills
* Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic
* Have a willingness to learn and comply with our policies and procedures

This position may require work away from home at times.

Taylors Contracting Co. Ltd. have on-going forestry contracts supplying engineering services for the harvest of over a million tonnes of timber assets.

Besides having a common-sense approach and an energetic, positive attitude you will:

* Hold a class 2 driver’s license with WTR
* Have previous experience of earthworks in either the Civil or Forestry sector
* Demonstrate a strong commitment to the Health & Safety of yourself and others

Civil Pipe Layer - Nelson

Are you looking for a new challenge in a supportive working environment?

Due to the continual growth of our organisation, we are currently seeking an experienced pipe layer to join our Nelson Civil Team.

Our Nelson Civil Division employs up to 25 staff on various projects throughout the Nelson -Tasman region and are committed to exceeding client expectations through safe, quality work practices.

* Have relevant certifications
* Have experience in laying stormwater and sewer pipelines both concrete and PVC as well as associated ground infrastructure
* Hold a current NZ Driver’s License – class 2 with WTR is an advantage

* Have knowledge of reading and interpreting plans and survey set out accurately
