Junior / Trainee Parts Purchasing Officer

You will receive on-going training and support while working towards these key responsibilities:

* Purchasing all parts for internal workshop operations
* Obtaining quotes and sourcing parts in a timely and cost-effective manner
* Ordering of parts locally and internationally
* Communicate effectively with suppliers and mechanics
* Following up with suppliers with any discrepancies
* Maintain stock levels
* General layout and tidiness of parts store

Payroll Support

Although there will be additional administration support duties, this role is largely focussed on data entry, therefore accuracy and efficiency will be key.

Key Responsibilities include:
* Entering daily time sheets
* Entering equipment usage
* Filing
* Other admin support

Project Engineer - Canterbury

Taylors Contracting is seeking an experienced Site Engineer with civil and roading project experience. The successful candidate will have completed a Civil Engineering qualification – Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Diploma of Engineering or any other relevant tertiary.

As Project Engineer you will be reporting to the Project Manager on production plans, material and plant requirements, practical completion documentation, sub-contractor activities, quotations, drawings and layout plan interpretation and specification and producing and reviewing ITPs.

Key responsibilities will include:
* Ability to manage and ensure project operations are run efficiently and reach a high standard
* Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills
* Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and work to tight and competing schedules
* The ability to utilise and optimise resources to meet customer and company needs
* A good understanding / knowledge of procedures and relevant quality / safety / environmental standards in the construction industry

Environmental Officer

Taylors Contracting is continuing to expand, which has created an opportunity for a new position. The Environmental Officer will be responsible for providing support to internal departments across the organisation while actively building and maintaining strong relationships with council environmental officers and stakeholders.

To be considered for this position you will have the following:
* A relevant degree and 2–5 years experience in Environmental Sciences, Resource Management, Natural Resource Science or Mining Resources Management
* Sound communication skills
* Good knowledge of the RMA, regulations and relevant NES’s
* Ability to work in a multiple team environment

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Assist all departments in achieving company environmental commitments and policy values
* Fulfill the role on projects as the Environmental Officer as required
* Be an active part of the Environmental Committee
* Investigate environmental incidents
* Prepare erosion and sediment control plans and resource consents
* Monitor resource consent compliance

We are seeking a Parts / Store Person to join our Workshop Team. The ideal candidate would have previous experience in a similar environment or a genuine passion in our industry.

You will be working with a medium sized team of Heavy Diesel Mechanics and Engineers in a large organisation who pride themselves on their workmanship, professionalism and expertise.

To be considered for this position, you must have a positive can-do attitude and be a person who is friendly, organised, professional, self-motivated and an excellent communicator. Industry knowledge is an advantage but not essential.

To be successful in this role you will be energetic and thrive in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to think on your feet.

Taylors Contracting are seeking a Workshop / Yard Hand to assist in the day to day general maintenance of our Brightwater yard. Candidates must be fit, enjoy physical work and be able to work autonomously as well as part of a team, with a positive can-do safety conscious attitude.

Multi Skilled Operator - Forestry

Taylors Contracting Co. Ltd is currently seeking a new full-time team member to join the Forestry Department. You will be forming & maintaining roads, skids and performing other earthworks as required. Applicants will have the following skills and attributes:

A class 2 driver’s license with WTR
Have a proven work history in bulk earthworks, civil and/or forestry operations
A high level of experience operating various machinery such as dozers, diggers and graders
Possess a safe work record and be drug free with a genuine commitment to Health and Safety
Extreme Reliability and dependability
Demonstrate excellent communication and time management skills
The right qualifications for this position are an advantage, however we are committed to training and up skilling our staff.
