Environmental Labourer

We are seeking an enthusiastic Environmental Labourer to join our Rivers Maintenance department. This role contributes to the beatification and restoration of River Reserves including new plantings of natives and maintenance of existing plantings.

To be considered for this role, you must:
* Have a current and clean full drivers licence (class 1)
* Have a current Grow Safe Certificate
* Be physically fit and self-motivated
* Competence with chainsaws is an advantage

Handyman / Jack-of-all-trades

We are seeking a skilled labourer (Handyman/Jack-of-all-trades) to join our team at Taylors working across the Nelson / Tasman region.

The ideal candidate will be professional in their approach, take pride in their work and like to maintain a high standard of quality. Candidates must be fit, enjoy physical work and able to work autonomously as well as part of a team.

To be successful in this role you will have excellent organisational and problem-solving skills. You must have a positive can-do safety conscious attitude and be a person who is self-motivated and an excellent communicator.

Tasks and responsibilities are varied, but may include:
* Class 1 drivers licence, heavy trade licences would be useful but not essential
* Delivering and installing culverts
* Signage installation and repairs
* Installing and repairing forestry gates
* Fence repairs and construction
* Concreting, timber work, construction and painting
* Bridge maintenance and water blasting
* Grass seeding, soil stabilisation, planting trees and spraying
* Trimming roadside trees and branches
* General repairs and maintenance

Taylors Contracting Co. Ltd. have on-going forestry contracts supplying engineering services for the harvest of over a million tonnes of timber assets.

* Have previous experience of earthworks in either the Civil or Forestry sector

Civil Pipe Layer - Nelson

Our Nelson Civil Division employs up to 25 staff on various projects throughout the Nelson-Tasman region and are committed to exceeding client expectations through safe, quality work practices.

* Have relevant certifications
* Have experience in laying stormwater and sewer pipelines both concrete and PVC as well as associated ground infrastructure

Multi Skilled Operator - Forestry

Taylors Contracting Co. Ltd is currently seeking a new full-time team member to join the Forestry Department. You will be forming & maintaining roads, skids and performing other earthworks as required. Applicants will have the following skills and attributes:

A class 2 driver’s license with WTR
Have a proven work history in bulk earthworks, civil and/or forestry operations
A high level of experience operating various machinery such as dozers, diggers and graders
Possess a safe work record and be drug free with a genuine commitment to Health and Safety
Extreme Reliability and dependability
Demonstrate excellent communication and time management skills
The right qualifications for this position are an advantage, however we are committed to training and up skilling our staff.
