Project / Site Engineer

Taylors Contracting are seeking a Project / Site Engineer to be a part of the Nelson Contracting team. The successful candidate will have or be working towards their Diploma in Engineering or other relevant qualification.

Our Nelson Contracting Division employs up to 45 staff on various projects throughout the Nelson-Tasman region and is committed to exceeding client expectations through safe, quality work practices.

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Have a clean, Class 1 driver’s licence
  • Be able to utilise and optimise resources to meet customer and client needs
  • Have a good understanding of relevant quality, safety and environmental standards

Workshop Yard Hand

Candidates must be fit, enjoy physical work and be able to work autonomously as well as part of a team. Must come with a positive can-do, safety conscious attitude.

The successful candidate will be:

  • Fit and reliable
  • Prepared for labour intensive tasks
  • Hold at least a restricted drivers licence, as will be required to pick up supplies
  • Prepared to carry out a large variety of general workshop and yard duties

  • Class 1 driver’s license
  • Previous experience in civil works is not essential, but is an advantage

Excavator Operator

Grader Operator

Take charge of this role and your machinery and we will reward you accordingly! This is a stable position, with project plans spanning into the distance.

About you! You will have experience operating grading machines in civil construction environments. With an eye for detail and a steady hand, you will have a passion for quality results and a knack for project delivery. You will be able to operate heavy grader machinery to a final trim standard.
