Quarries Engineer

Taylors are continuing to expand, which has created an opportunity for a new position. This is a great opportunity for someone who wishes to develop their skills and a career pathway in the quarrying industry. The Quarries Engineer will support the department manager in the overall quarry operations.

To be considered for this position you will have the following:
* A tertiary qualification such as a diploma in civil engineering, a geology degree or similar (advantageous but not essential)
* Experience or exposure to project management would be an advantage
* Knowledge and experience with plant and machinery relative to our industry
* A positive attitude toward Health, Safety & Wellbeing
* Excellent personable skills

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Support the Quarry Manager with the day to day operations of the department
* Input into developing quarry management plans
* Assist with ensuring environmental and Health & Safety standards are met
* Be prepared to operate machinery if and when required

Heavy Diesel Mechanic

Are you looking for a new challenge in a supportive working environment?

Due to the continual growth of the company we are currently seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team.

Key skills and attributes:
To be successful in this role, you will:
* Be a trade qualified diesel technician with skills in hydraulics, modern diesel engines and related electronics
* Possess a class 1 driver’s license
* Demonstrate a strong commitment to Health and Safety
* Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical failures and recommend solutions
* Ability to work alone and as part of a team
* Excellent communication skills
* Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic
* Have a willingness to learn and comply with our policies and procedures

This position will require work away from home
