Roading Labourer / Operator

The Nelson Contracting division is an integral part of Taylors operations, working across a number of projects in the Nelson/Tasman region. We are seeking a keen individual who has the following skills and attributes or has a genuine passion in our industry and strives for personal growth.

Key skills and attributes:
* Class 2 and WTR preferable
* Previous experience in kerb, footpath, roading preparation and small machinery operation within civil construction is preferred
* Demonstrate a strong commitment to the Health & Safety of yourself and others
* Be physically fit
* Able to perform manual labor and other physical tasks
* Be extremely reliable and dependable
* Have excellent communication skills

Trainee Pipe Layer

Grinder / Chipper Operator

Taylors Contracting are looking to fill this new role which requires an experienced excavator operator that will also be responsible for the operation of our Horizontal Grinder. This grinder can be used to clear whole trees, storm debris, slash, logs and stumps producing ground wood waste.

Besides having a common-sense approach and an energetic, positive attitude you will:
* Hold a class 2 driver’s license with WTR
* Previous experience operating excavators in a forestry environment
* Be mechanically minded
* Demonstrate a strong commitment to the Health & Safety of yourself and others

Multi Skilled Operator - Forestry

Taylors Contracting Co. Ltd is currently seeking a new full-time team member to join the Forestry Department. You will be forming & maintaining roads, skids and performing other earthworks as required. Applicants will have the following skills and attributes:

A class 2 driver’s license with WTR
Have a proven work history in bulk earthworks, civil and/or forestry operations
A high level of experience operating various machinery such as dozers, diggers and graders
Possess a safe work record and be drug free with a genuine commitment to Health and Safety
Extreme Reliability and dependability
Demonstrate excellent communication and time management skills
The right qualifications for this position are an advantage, however we are committed to training and up skilling our staff.
