The Waimea Community Dam is a very significant project for us and we’re really proud that our team is performing so well even in the face of major unforeseen factors such as the impact of Tasman fires and two lockdowns due to COVID.Despite those challenges, we’ve been able to complete the work in our original project on time. In fact, we’ve been able to go above and beyond. We thought a few numbers would be of interest to show how the job has evolved and what we’ve been able to deliver to date over and above what we were originally contracted to deliver.· More than 160,000m3 of additional earthworks· More than 2700m of additional grouting· Nearly 61,000m3 of additional engineered fill· Nearly 245,000m3 of imported earthworks which wasn’t in our original contract· More than 2700m of additional permanent rock anchorsWhen you consider that our contract required meeting some very big targets anyway e.g. the nearly 20,000m3 of concrete that has been required to date, the fact that our team has more than surpassed the initial targets is a real testament to their efforts. We wanted to congratulate our team for really demonstrating our company’s values on the Waimea Community Dam project and showing the priority we place on providing great customer service. ...
